Would you believe that some people go to school just to learn how to laugh? Maybe you’d like to attend such a school yourself. Have you ever thought of becoming a clown?

There is a clown college run by the Ringing Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. To go to this college, you must first show that you have talent for acting. Every year as many as 6000 people show interest in becoming clowns.

Those whose are admitted to the clown college take lessons in acting. They learn how to put on make up and how to dress up in funny ways. Students must do clever and, sometimes, dangerous tricks. Even if they are sad or afraid, clowns must always pretend to laugh.
