Unit 3 : Daily Activities Period 18+19 : Reading Date of prepairing: 05/9/2011 Date of teaching: 08/9/2011 I. Objectives: 1. Educational aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to get general and information about daily activities of a person. 2. Knowledge: + General knowledge: Students read about a worker’s typical day. + Read the passage and complete the tasks of the lesson. - Language: Students could understand and use new words after reading - New words: Words related to people’s backgrounds 3. Skills practised: scanning for details, questions and answer, checking II. Methods : Integrated, mainly communicative III. Teaching aids: Student’s book and pictures, Board, chalks, etc. IV. Procedure: Teacher’s activities Content Students’ activities Ask sts to answer the questions : -lead in: Today, we’ll have a new lesson: Unit 3: Reading -Introduce the vocab : Follow the steps for presenting vocabulary. - ask sts to repeat and write carefully - have sts read them in chorus then some read again Ask students to look at the table then check: -work in pairs -Give feedback if necessary(speaking only) - Ask Ss to open their books and read silently. - Asks S to work in pairs to complete the chart. Ask Ss to work in pairs and ask and answer the questions in the book basing on the information in the reading passage. - move around class to give help. -call on some sts to present their answers in front of the class -correct and give right answers - Ask Ss to work in pairs to match the words with their definitions - Move around to help Ss. - give feedback. - Ask Ss to discuss the question in groups - Asks Ss to take turns to express their opinions. -Get feedback & correct. - summarize the main points. - assign homework A. I wonder if you’d mind looking into this matter and giving us convincing explanation. I hope that you will do something for compensation.
