Aims: - Educational aim: Ss know something about the computer. - Knowledge: Ss know the importance of computer and their application or benefits in our modern life. - Skills: reading for matching and for identifying the main idea. Warm-up: - Ask Ss to work in pairs, look at the illustrations, match the numbered items with the words or phrases in the box. - Tell Ss to read their answer in class. - Give further explanation. II. Warm-up: * Ask and answer: -Ask Ss to work independently and answer the question by checking the right column: How often do you use each of the items below? III. Procedure: Teacher’s activities Student’s activities I. Warm up: (4’) - Show the picture of a public telephone and ask Ss. Questions: 1. What’s this? 2. Have you ever used it? - Continue to ask Ss if they answer “yes”. - Use the actions to describe if they answer “no” 3. Can you use your actions to describe the way how to use it? - Lead Ss into the lesson based on the description. Whole class - Look at the picture and answer. Suggested answers 1.
