- Pronunciation of the –ed ending sounds

-ed can be pronounced in the following ways:

- /t/ after the voiceless consonants such as : /p,k,f,s, / such in : stopped, cooked, walked, kicked .

- /d/ after the voiced consonants and vowels: /b,g,v,z,m,n,g ./; such in: stayed, opened, carried, played, robbed .

- /id/ after the words ending with /t/ and /d/: wanted, needed, admitted
