Đề kiểm tra học kì I môn tiếng Anh 2007-2008

Running is one of the cheapest and most effective forms of exercise. When you first take up the sport, it is important to build up your strength slowly. You should, however, plan to go out for at least thirty minutes, running for a minute and walking for a minute. If this seems like a long time, you should try running with a partner as this will help you keep going.

It is a good idea to run on grass rather than hard surfaces. This will help you avoid injury to your muscle which may not be used to this kind of exercise. You need to wear clothes that are both waterproof and lightweight and you should take care over your choice of footware. This is because the right kind of shoes is absolutely essential for running.

Make sure you buy them from a shop where the staff are trained to help you match the shoe to things like the weight and the shape of your foot. Don’t be influenced by brand names, but look for comfort. You should allow a centimeter between the tip of your big toe and the end of the shoe. The average shoe is good for 200- 300 miles, so you should be prepared to buy a new pair regularly.

Question 9: When practising running, we should build up our strength quickly only in a short time.
