Task 2: Answer the questions( GROUP WORK)(11’)

GAME: MAGIC WHEEL

RULES

Instructions:

1) Divide into 2 Teams

2) Spin Wheel Button to choose the number of points that team will receive.

3) Ask a question to a Team If correct, your team gets points from wheel. If not, another can answer.

4) If the wheel stops at lost turn, another group continues ,if the wheel stops at Lucky, spin the wheel again, your team will get this point without answering any questions. If the wheel stops at reward, you will receive a gift.

5) Continue until out of questions.

Feedback

1. When they have some days off after the first term.

2. Because they want to understand their geography lesson better and many of them have never been inside a cave.

3. It’s only over 20km

4. They are going to make a two-day trip and have night campfire.

5. She is anxious about her parents’ permission. They may not want to let her stay the night away from home.

Teaching methods: Communicative approach D. Class details: E. Procedure: I. Stabilization: II. Check-up: (3’)Present perfect, present perfect passive and who which and that. 1. Tan has tidied the house. → The house has been tidied by Tan. 2. The woman is very friendly. She was my English teacher last year. → The woman who was my English teacher last year is very friendly. III. New lesson: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES CONTENTS - T asks sts to play the games : CROSSWORD - T explains the rules. T lets sts to play. - T gives feedback. - T asks sts to work in pairs to match the pictures with the information given on the poster. - T has sts read out the answers. - T gives feedbacks and introduces the new lesson. - T elicits sts to give Vietnamese meaning of the new words and gives feedbacks. - T gets sts to read the new words chorally and individually. - T reads the passage. - T asks sts to read the letter again and do the task 1 in pairs. - T has sts to read out the answers and gives feedbacks. - T gets sts to work in pairs and do the task 2 in groups of 4. - T asks to play the game “MAGIC WHEEL” from the questions of task 2. - T gives the rules of the games. - T gives comments. - T has sts read the letter and fill in the blanks of the summary. - T asks some sts to read the completed summary in front of the class. - T gives feedbacks and corrects answers. - sts listen and play the game. - Sts work in pairs and do the matching task. - Sts ead out the answers. - Sts listen. - Give Vietnamese meaning of the new words. - Listen to T’s feedback and copy down. - Read the words chorally and individually. - Listen and read silently. - Read the letter again and do the task 1. - Sts read out the answers and listen to T’s correction. - Sts do the task 2 in groups of 4. - sts play the game - sts listen to T’s corrections and copy down. Pair work - Sts read the letter and fill in the blanks of the summary. - Some sts read out the completed summary in front of the class. - Sts listen and take notes. * Warm up: (5’)CROSSWORD: RULES Each team takes turn to choose a number and then answer the question. 10 marks for ONE correct answer and ONE LETTER of the key word will be shown. If one team gives the wrong answer, the other team will have the right to answer. 30 marks for the team that can give the correct key word. The game finishes as soon as the key word is guessed correctly. The team with more marks will be the winner. Match the pictures with the information below.
