I. Objectives:

- By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

+ Knowledge: Review the way of the introduce someone. Way to write answer about introducing.

+ Skill: Develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skill, practise work in group.

+Attitudes: Favorite subjects and activities in the lesson, joyful and affable with friends, self – consciousness in all activities during lesson.

II. Teaching aids:

- Teacher’s aids: Student’s book, sticker, box, paper flowers.

- Students’ aids: Student’s book, notebooks, workbooks, pen, eraser, pencil.

Lê Thị Dịu – Unit 3: This is Tony – Lesson 1 – English 3 – School year 2018 - 2019 Preparation day: 10/09/2018 Teaching day: 12/11/2018 UNIT 3: THIS IS TONY Lesson 1(1.2.3) Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: + Knowledge: Know and practice the way of the introduce someone. From that apply to life. + Skill: Develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skill, practise work in group. +Attitudes: Favorite subjects and enthusiasm participate in activities in the lesson, joyful and affable with friends. Teaching aids: Teacher’s aids: Student’s book, gift, sticker, flashcards, ball. Students’ aids: Student’s book, notebooks, workbooks, pen, eraser, pencil. Languages focus: Vocabulary: Hi, hello, this is, nice to meet you. Structures: + This is + ( name). + Hello/ Hi, ( name). Nice to meet you. Procedures: Stages Interaction Procedure I.Warm – up ( 5 minutes ) II.Presentation: 1. Look, listen and repeat ( 9 minutes ) III.Practise: 2. Point and say (10 minutes) IV.Production 3. T gives Ss a small game ( Guessing game). T divides class into two groups. Then tells them about the rule of the game. + I have five pictures then, I will cover one part of the pictures. + You will look and have to tell me what the picture is. + Which group has more correct answer will be winner. ( See handout ) T checks understanding. T asks Ss look at two pitures in page 18. T introduces two pictures and ask some questions about the situations in each picure. + Who are they in each picture ? + Where are they ? + What are they doing ? T tells that they are going to practice saying and introducing to This is/ This’s + (name) and Nice to meet you. T reads the sample once and tell Ss repeat. T for Ss work in pair to practice. T gives new words: + This is : đây là + Nice to meet you : rất vui được gặp bạn Note: + This is = This’s T calls some Ss reads new words. Then call one to two pairs practice the dialogue. T tells Ss look at the picture and ask some questions: + What can you see in this picture? + What are they doing? T points and tells that: + In this picture have teacher, students and teacher is introducing four new student with class, that’s Linda, Peter, Tony, Quan.. + I will read the sample once. T for Ss work in pair. Then, call two pairs go to the board to practice. T checks Ss’ mistake if necessary. T gives structure to introduce someone: + This is/ This’s + (name). + Hello/ Hi + (name). Nice to meet you. T does example T checks Ss’understand and for Ss practice by playing game: “ Throw the ball ”. T asks Ss go to the board and sit in circle. Then tell them about the rule of the game. + I have a ball, I will say “ Hello class, this is ( name) ”and throw the ball in the middle. + The ball rolls to someone who will catch and say “ Hello/ Hi, (name). Nice to meet you. And this is (name)” and continue throw the ball. + Next person will do the same. T checks understand and play. T asks Ss look at the picture and ask: How many people are there in the picture? T tells that they are four students and they are practicing introduce with their friends. T does example if Ss don’t understand. S1: This is Linda. S2: Hello/ Hi, Linda. Nice to meet you. T for Ss work in group, each group has four presons. T calls two groups go to the board to pactice. T checks Ss’mistake. T asks Ss: “ Are you happy ” and play game “ Word jumble race ”. T divides class into two groups and tell them about the rule of the game. + I have some words, but the letters in the words have been disturbed. + Your task is rearrange the letters correctly and go to the board write down answer. + Which group has correct answers and fastest will be winner and will be received a gift. + Do you understand ?. Consolidation: + T repeats the content of this lesson. + T comments the lesson. Homework: + Learn to new words by heart. + Practice introduce someone : This is ( name). T gives Ss a small game ( Lucky flowers ). T divides class into two groups and tell them about the rule of the game. + I have ten flowers tantamount to ten turn of two groups. + Each group will go to the board in turn and pick up a flower. + Inside each flower has a question. You have to answer it. Which group has more correct answers will be winner. + Special, will have two lucky flowers. When the group pick up that flower, you won’t have to answer the question but still core. T checks understand. T points and introduces four pictures on page 19. Then ask some questions to give suggestions about the situations in the picture. + How many picture are there ? + Who are they in each picture ? + What are they doing ? T asks Ss to listen to the recording and tick in the box below the picture in the order picture that you hear. T checks understanding. Ss listens three times. 1st and 2nd: play the recording for Ss can both look and listen and fill number. T calls two students go to the board write their answers. 3th: listen one more and check answers. Answers: 1 – b; 2 – a. T introduces two pictures in page 19 and ask some questions: + What can you see in each picture?. Then T tells them about the way to do. + We will base on the structure about introduce someone in the previous lesson to complete two dialogues tantamount to two picture. T checks understand. T gives example if Ss don’t understand. Ss works in pair to write and practice two dialogues With each dialogue T calls two pairs to practice. Answer: This is Nam. Hello/ Hi, Nam. Nice to meet you. This is Phong. Hello/ Hi, Phong. Nice to meet you. T introduces the song “ How are you?”. Then T will sing sample one. T tells Ss look at the song in the book and listen teacher sing one more then tell them: + Are you got it? + So now, we will learn to sing each sentence. With each sentence T calls each group sing again and teacher will check Ss’mistake. After finishing the whole song, for each group to sing again. Then the whole class. T asks Ss: “How do you feel now ? Do you like playing game?” T divides class into two groups and tells them about the rule of the game. + I have a small game. It’s “Name of things”. + I have somethings in the lovely box. + A person will come here, take your hand into the box, touch anyone and guess what is it. + If you have a correct answer then that thing will belong to you. T checks understanding then start. Consolidation: + T repeats the content of this lesson. + T comments the lesson. Homework: + Review structure to greet and learn to structure by heart. + Write down part 5 in notebook and practice competently. + Prepare new lesson. V. Evaluation:
