UNIT 5 : TECHNOLOGY Period 36+37 : Reading Date of prepairing: 28/9/2011 Date of teaching: 01/10/2011 I. Objectives: 1. Educational aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will know more about know about technology in life and develop skill of reading for the main idea. 2. Knowledge: + General knowledge: Students read about interpreting fact about life in the future. + Read the passage and complete the tasks of the lesson. - Language: Students could understand and use new words after reading - New words: Words related to technology 3. Procedure: Teacher’ activities Content Students’ activities - gives the topic for SS to discuss: your ideal modern life - leads in the lesson with technology and facilities SS list out in question 2. - Introduce the vocabulary with meaning in the textbook. - help Ss to read the vocabulary. - Asks Ss to look at the pictures in textbook page 62 and match the name with the objects. - Lets SS read the questions of task b (explaination). - guides some techniques and evidents to help SS do the task better. - helps SS to correct. Now press the shutter button half way down and you’ll hear a beep sound. Finally, press the shutter button again fully down. You’ll hear a click sound. This means the image has been recorded. First, place the container on the base and turn it clockwise. Next, put the food into the container and cover it withs its cap. Make sure to plug in and select the slow speed button. Then, press the higher speed button. If you want to add sugar or salt into the food, remove the cap. After that, don’t forget to cover the container with the cap again. Now press the low speed button to mix the ingredients. Finally, press the stop button, unplug the machine, and turn the container counterclockwise to remove it from the base. III.
