Teaching aids : Handouts, textbook , flipcharts PROCEDURE I/ WARM-UP : ( 5 min ) Revision : 1.What is the sound's symbol of each underlined word ? 1. father 2. hand 3. read 4. cinema 5. spend 6. mother [ a:] [ æ ] [ i: ] [ I ] [ e ] [ Λ] II/ PHONETICS : ( 13 min ) * Task 1 Introduce the phonetics ( Ask pupils to read and then transcribe two words below. ) Top [tɔp] Tall [tɔ:l] * Task 2 1. Remark : We use used to + V inf to express a past action and state. It has no present equivalent. áForm Firmative : S+used to+V-infinitive Negative : S+ didn’t +use to +V-infinitive Question : Did+ S+ use to +V-infinitive?
