Pronunciation: - Aims: to introduce two sounds /ʒ / and / ʃ / and help sts to practice these sounds. a. Write two sounds on the board and pronounce them clearly twice, then ask Ss to repeat. - Tell Ss how to pronounce these sounds accurately. / ʃ / : a voiceless sound / ʒ / : a voiced sound - Ask Ss to pay attention to the length of two sounds. - Ask them to look at the textbook, listen and repeat. - Then ask Ss to work in pairs to read the words again so that they can check for each other. - Move around to help . - Ask two Ss to read again and give remarks. b. My house is the smallest in this street. Exercise 1 is more difficult than exercise 2.
