AIMS Knowledge After the lesson, the learners can read and know: - Learn some new kinds of alternative energy. - Widen vocabulary on sources of energy. Skills + Integrated skill, mainly communicative. + Reading skills: Skimming and scanning. 3. Attitude: Active to join activities and tasks in class. III. TEACHING AIDS Real objects, pictures, English textbook 11, handouts, lesson plan. IV. PROCEDURE CONTENT ACTIVITIES Teacher Students 1. WARM-UP (5 minutes) Introduce the topic of the lesson and to raise students interest - Asks students to close the book. -Asks students to complete the sentences: 3. We use ----------to cook. 4. We use ---------to run machines, cars , motorbikes. -Lead in : today we will learn more about sources of energy. - Listen to the teacher and answer the questions. - Listen to the teacher and open the book- Unit11: part A: Reading 1 2. BEFORE YOU READ: (15 minutes) Look at the pictures and answer the questions What source of energy does each following picture refer to? What do you need energy for? HOMEWORK ( 2 minutes) Prepare Part A : Reading 2 at home -Learning by heart all the new words. -Reading the passage at home and do task 2 and task 3 in book. - Listen and take notes in their notebooks.
